Students of IMU,Malaysia, visited the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology on 7th and 11th of July respectively. On the 1st day of their visit they were introduced to CBCT which consisted of a lecture followed by demonstration of a few cases by the HOD Dr Prashant Jaju.They were also introduced to the use of AI in Dental Radiology by demonstrating the use of Velmini Software for the interpretation of IOPAR.
On the second day of the visit , they attended a lecture on Diagnosis and Diagnostic tools for Leukoplakia and Oral Submucous Fibrosis by Dr Kriti Shrivastava.The lecture was followed by two demonstrations
1.Punch Biopsy for Homogeneous Leukoplakia where step by step entire procedure was explained to them
2.Intralesional injections for the management of OSMF followed by Oral Physiotherapy as demonstrated by Dr Poorva Tiwari.
On both the days they were also introduced to the general OPD (Medicine & Radiology)of the department as well. The topics and demonstration undertaken by the department were a very new experience for the students .The entire department participated and contributed their best in the activities.
